Islam's Beliefs, Practices and History
For Christians Only

We know that God loves every person, including every Muslim, and that God wants every Muslim to join His family. As brothers and sisters in Christ we must pray every day that Muslims will have an opportunity to learn about Jesus and to come to know Him as their Savior and friend.

Before reading further, please take a moment to study the Christianity/Islam comparison chart by clicking HERE. The chart clearly shows that Allah and God cannot possibly be one and the same. Knowing their differences is the first step in understanding Islam.

Because we know our eternal lives begin when we accept Jesus as Savior and Lord, we learn to be content in all circumstances. But since Islamic salvation is based on works, Muslims must wait until Judgment Day to learn their fate. They live in constant fear that Allah will send them to eternal punishment in Hell.

Just as there are false teachers in Christianity, there are false teachers in Islam who ignore their holy books and preach lies to increase mosque attendance, receive more donations, and maintain more control over their congregations. For example they falsely tell their congregations that Christians believe God came down to earth and had sex with Mary. Many Muslims actually accept this preposterous lie as fact. Imams also falsely claim that Jews changed the Torah revealed to Moses by Allah and the Psalms revealed to David by Allah by:
- removing verses that “acknowledge Muhammad as the last and greatest in the line of Jewish prophets.”
- adding verses that claim the Jews are God’s chosen people.
- adding verses that God gave the Holy Land to the Jews.

They also falsely claim that Christians changed the New Testament (Injeel in Arabic) by
- adding verses that say Jesus is the Son of God and that He is divine.
- adding verses that claim the existence of the Holy Spirit.
- adding verses that say God is three persons in one (the Trinity).
- adding verses that say Jesus was crucified, died, was buried and three days later God raised him from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Not one of Islam's claims that Jews and Christians changed the Bible is true, and in fact the Qur’an itself makes no such claims.

In their required five-a-day recitations in Arabic, Muslims ask Allah to help them avoid following the path of Jews, who have "angered Allah," or Christians, who have "gone astray."

The Qur’an itself encourages Muslims to read the Torah, the Psalms and the Gospel, but please know that fewer than 20 percent of Muslims have actually read the Qur’an. Since Islamic doctrine dictates that Muslims read the Torah, Psalms and Gospel (Injeel), give them a copy of the New Testament in their native language and see what happens. It may save their souls.

Be very cautious not to put any Muslim in danger. The penalty for blasphemy or apostasy is death, and Muslims suspected of insulting Islam or abandoning Islam risk execution. Never approach Muslims in a group. Don’t make any of them have to explain why they were speaking to a non-Muslim (an infidel). Arrange private meetings. Never approach a Muslim of the opposite sex. Never give any literature to a Muslim unless they ask for it. Pray with and for them.

Be hospitable. Invite Muslim families into your home for meals. Talk about Abraham, Noah, Jonah, Moses, John the Baptist, Jesus, the Books of Moses, the Psalms and the Gospels because all are mentioned in the Qur’an and are safe subjects. At your earliest opportunity, give them a copy of the New Testament in their native language.

Studying only the Qur’an will not bring you to even a cursory understanding Islam. It is not in chronological order and few verses identify speaker or circumstance. Context must be located in Muhammad’s traditions (hadiths) or in his biography [the Sira]. To truly understand the breadth and depth of Islam, one must study all three of its core documents; the Qur’an, the hadiths, and biography of Muhammad. However, the hadiths comprise 1,200 volumes; and Muslims know that Muhammad’s primary biography by Ishaq is not trustworthy because it omits much of his family life and military campaigns. Serious students of Islam should study reliable books on the subject such as those listed in the suggested reading list in my book, The Heart of Islam

Nationwide fewer than 50 percent of Christians are registered to vote and only 20 percent vote -- so government is now controlled by secularists. Many of our laws are against Biblical principles. Many of our children are being taught to hate God and worship the earth. Borders are being kept open to drugs, criminals and terrorists. Politicians rather than judges are being appointed to federal and state courts.

Christians absolutely must get involved in the affairs of community, state and federal governments. If we don’t start voting, self-serving parties will continue to muster enough Godless voters to win elections.
